Other countries - other manners!
Did you know that different classifications of compression classes exist side by side in Europe? That means that different types of compression stockings are offered.
Take the French market. The compression classes there have different classifications of the pressure ranges in mmHG (ASQUAL).
The yarn counts used can also be lower than with the current standard in Germany (RAL).
Thus, the compression stockings can be finer and more elegant in terms of material. The most commonly prescribed compression class there is also the CCL 2 (15-20 mmHG), but this corresponds approximately only to the CCL 1 (RAL 18-21 mmHG) in Germany, which is still rarely prescribed here. Conclusion: It can also be CCL 1 in individual cases!
A look at the USA can also be interesting. We carry compression stockings "Made in US" in the class Moderate (KKL 1) and Firm (KKL 2) under the brand Sockwell®.
